Industry CEOs to kickoff each
day at PaperWeek Canada 2013
  John D. Williams, President & CEO of Domtar, will give the official kick-off to PaperWeek with a keynote presentation on the state of the industry and its future and share Domtar's vision on the industry's sustainability.
 
  James Lopez, President & CEO of Tembec, will keynote on Wednesday morning and present Tembec's approach to face the challenges and opportunities tied to the transformation of the industry and the recent progress we have made. Mr. Lopez will be followed by Kurt Schafer, VP Fiber with RISI, who will give a world outlook on the pulp and paper market trends and forecasts.
 
  Alain Lemaire, President & CEO of Cascades, will discuss Cascades' vision and its unique approach to tackle the industry's markets and develop a successful sustainable development strategy. Clive Suckling, Global Forest, Paper and Packaging Leader at PricewaterhouseCooper will follow with a financial analysis and how major projects around the world get financed.

The 3rd edition of the Int'l Forest Biorefinery Symposium now confirmed


PAPTAC is pleased to announce that after two successful editions with strong international presence, the Third International Forest Biorefinery Symposium will take place in conjunction with PWC 2013 in Montreal, next february.

The purpose of the symposium is to offer to the professionals and scientists working in the field of pulp and paper, biofuels and biochemicals industries in Canada and abroad, a platform for the presentation of recent advancements and technological breakthroughs. Eminent personalities will give keynote presentations. Furthermore, a devoted issue of J-FOR will be published in conjunction with the Symposium.

PAPTAC's New Microsites
for Technical Communities


Be sure to visit the first 5 microsites dedicated to Technical Communities. The Paper Machine Technology, Energy, Maintenance, Paperboard Packaging and Process Control Communities will have the opportunity to improve networking and communication among members through this new platform of information exchange. Each site offers an in-depth look at the communities, their objectives and what they do. Members who have not yet joined a Community are welcomed to visit the microsites and register, and start exchanging new ideas and opinions!
