Workforce renewal is a growing need in the industry and it’s not showing signs of disappearing. In a labour market report by the Forest Products Sector Council, indicates that the industry will have fill up to 130 000 positions by 2020. Whether it is for mechanics, engineers, electricians or equipment operators, opportunities are numerous for anyone willing to work in this evolving sector.

This presents the backdrop to this important challenge of the coming years, for which PAPTAC and its industry partners wish to play an active role and utilize the visibility of PaperWeek Canada’s national platform to help meet this goal.
