PAPTAC to take on secretariat for ECBLRBAC

PAPTAC is pleased to announce that it will assume the Secretariat for the Eastern Canadian Black Liquor Recovery Boiler Advisory Committee (ECBLRBAC).
PAPTAC will be working with the committee by helping with the communications, marketing and logistics of the committee by utilizing some of its tools and resources to support the structure and organization of ECBLRBAC.

"We're very excited to strengthen the ties between both organizations which have common objectives and stakeholders" - Greg Hay, PAPTAC Executive Director.

The collaboration between the two groups will take effect immediately and will focus first on helping with the planning of ECBLRBAC's upcoming meeting, November 18-20 in Montreal.

"We share some common goals and we feel ECBLRBAC will definitely benefit from PAPTAC's tools and structure. This will help solidify our group and will provide opportunity for greater collaboration in our mutual efforts to help respond to the needs of the industry" - François Héon of Domtar Windsor and current Chair of ECBLRBAC.

Further initiatives will be put in place and will be announced in the future.

About BLRBAC: The BLRBAC is a committee of industry representatives that exists for the purpose of generating safety procedures and guidelines that govern the operation of Black Liquor Recovery Boilers.

The PAPTAC Niagara Branch is pleased to host an Energy Conservation and Sustainability Roundtable on Friday September 13th at Legends on the Niagara.
The roundtable, chaired by Ed Slachta, District Manager - Paper Technologies with Buckman, will be followed by a group lunch and a golf outing at the Legends Battlefield Course.

PAPTAC will be hosting a roundtable day for finishing / shipping / warehousing superintendents to be held at the Hôtel Classique in Quebec City on Friday, September 20. There will be a group dinner organized to welcome participants on Thursday the 19th. This roundtable aims to bring together superintendents in a networking environment with a productive agenda addressing a list of key topics to discuss around improvement, health / safety and workforce.
