2015 FIBRE Conference - Thinking Ahead and Rethinking Groupthink

After four stimulating days of plenary discussions and parallel multi-stakeholder partnership dialogues, the 3rd FIBRE Conference came to a constructive finale on 13 May 2015. As with many finales, this one also came with a heart pinch. Walking out of Université de Montréal participants were already discussing the next chapter.
Discussions held this week were spirited and geared towards greater collaboration between the participants in real-world scenarios. The Dragons’ Den Activity organized by FIBRE is a good exampleof this. However, as this is the case with the industry, FIBRE itself is morphing into a next phase. “We are surely ending a chapter”, acknowledged Dr. Theo van de Ven, Chair of FIBRE Network. Details remain to be mapped out on the road ahead but this should be done quickly said Dr. van de Ven reassuringly.

Updated Program - Niagara Branch Meeting   2015 Atlantic Branch Conference

The Niagra Branch “Technical Day and Golf Meet” will take place June 19, 2015 in Niagara Falls (ON). The program will focus on Reliability, Safety, and Workforce Renewal, complemented by roundtable discussions on each topic, and followed by an afternoon of golf. The event is open free of charge to all industry members who have an interest in attending.
