4.3 MEMBERSHIP REVIEW
a) Membership attendance
Policy is that we will send a letter after 3 absences in row without valid excuse.
Quebec mills are not attending regularly. Chris Kanters and Jean Bouchard will approach 4 or 5 mills to get input why they are not coming then report back for Fall 2001 meeting. Portage du Fort, LaTuque, Quevillion, Windsor, St. Felicien could be the contact mills.
Stuart Scott will contact Larry Beaulieu at Edmunston to promote the mill person/member to attend.

4.4 SUB-COMMITTEE REPORTS
a) Annual Meeting (Jean Bouchard)
Report on PAPTAC Annual Meeting 2001
We have received very positive comments for both the technical session and the roundtable. People had the feeling that they learned something during that day. I would like to thank Tom Mullen as well as all the participants.
However, nothing can be perfect and we had problems with the computer set-up for the technical session. We had to postponed one presentation in the afternoon prior to the roundtable, another speaker had to use overheads and we also lost time in between presentations. This is the best way to upset an audience.
I already mentioned this problem to Glen Black and I think that PAPTAC will have to modify their way of doing it. It is unacceptable that each speaker has to bring his own laptop or that one speaker has to share his own with everybody.
I propose that a formal letter should be sent to PAPTAC including the following recommendations:
