C. BUSINESS MEETING

An abbreviated meeting this time due to the time constraints of a one-day Bleach Committee meeting.

Discussed topics of membership and future meeting arrangements as per the Steering Committee meeting – see the Steering minutes for more detail.

    Canfor, Prince George to sponsor Fall 2000 meeting. Meeting date is October 16 to 18, 2000. Proposed technical session theme for this meeting is Mill Operations. See Teaching Bleaching Subcommittee minutes for more detail.

    Future meetings proposed for Marathon, Spring 2001? Pope & Talbot, Halsey, Fall 2001 or Fall 2002? Others suggestions included: Weyerhaeuser, Dryden; Crestbrook, Skookumchuck; Fletcher, Mackenzie; and Western Pulp, Woodfibre.

  2. Eastern Vice-Chair and Chairmanship

Jean Bouchard will become Eastern Vice-Chair when Don McCabe assumes Chairmanship at the end of 2000.
