1. Introduce new Steering Committee members
1. Membership discussion

• some sustaining members feel that there is a lot demanded of them, and they are contributing a lot to this committee. Should we increase the sustaining member percentage from 25% to 33%?
• tabled until next meeting. Action: the subcommittee chairs will report how many sustaining members are extensively involved in their subcommittees
• should we separate the life members from the sustaining members so that they are not part of the 25% maximum?
• agreed - there are three current life members, so they will be classed as regular members - this will allow one more sustaining member Action: Doug

4. Feedback Forms

• see Appendix 4
• shorten business meetings, e.g. liaison minutes not very useful in current form
• will change meeting structure for Fall/96 meeting so that subcommittees can have discussions with their smaller group, then report and receive feedback from the entire Bleaching Committee

5. Newsletter

• the committee feels that the newsletter is useful, but requires subcommittee chairs to get material to Chair in a timely fashion

• Champion will be sending a list of dates, steering committee will choose. If you have conflicts, please let Doug know.
