The PAPTAC Business Awards recognize excellence in three specific management areas and provide an opportunity to promote the highest levels of business leadership in the Canadian pulp & paper and forest-based industry. This recognition is awarded on the largest National platform during PaperWeek Canada, organized by PAPTAC.

Submission can be made on-line for each award at PAPTAC National Awards by following the submission process and the deadlines mentioned above.

The actual presentation of the award will take place during a PaperWeek Business Luncheon. The PaperWeek Canada luncheons draw key players from the industry across Canada and international PAPTAC members, and gathers Company CEOs, VPs Operations and Finance, mill managers, superintendents, technical staff, government representatives, suppliers, researchers, consultants, press and others.

We encourage all companies to participate and submit entries and take part in celebrating business excellence and leadership in the Canadian industry.

    Who can enter?

The Awards are designed to reward mills and individuals involved in the pulp & paper and forest-based industry and are open to participants from across Canada. Those submitting an entry for their mill or for an individual should check with their mill management/head office to ensure they have the approval to enter the Awards.

Submissions should be comprehensive and concise and, as a general rule, should not exceed 10 pages.

    Judging of entries

A select panel of judges made up of industry experts and representatives of the PAPTAC Executive Council and members will be judging entries. The judges use a specific set of criteria to review submissions in each category. Those submitting an entry should carefully review the procedure and criteria in order to submit as complete an entry as possible. Corporate sponsors of Awards are not involved in the judging process.
