The goal of the community is to advance and promote the study of the technical aspects and the engineering of papermaking and, in particular, the paper machine operations. Through its activities, the community enhances the technical knowledge of its members and their performance and effectiveness within their sponsoring companies. Its several projects, publications, Paper Week Canada sessions and assistance with TECH courses greatly benefit the paper industry as a whole.

On November 24th, the PMT Community sponsored a one-hour webinar on Steam Showers, presented by Ivan Pikulik, which focused on safety issues, points of applications, effect on machine operation, energy, and effect on product quality. Feedback from the 50+ attendees was extremely complimentary and many indicated a need for more webinars along this same formula.
Although we've wrapped our 2011 webinar schedule, we'll be back in 2012 with new topics and expert presenters.
