    Buyer – Pulp

    The Opportunity:
    As a Buyer you will represent the Company in the procurement of all supplies, raw materials and services for mill operations. Assuring on-time delivery and internal customer satisfaction, you will evaluate and determine the best supplier, value and delivery for those products and services.

    The Role:

    • Negotiate supply and delivery of goods while obtaining the best quality and cost savings

    • Provide customer service to users and assure all goods and services will meet operational specifications

    • Provide information on products, pricing and quotation requests

    • Expedite deliveries to meet mill requirements

    • Establish a network of suppliers and supplier contacts

    • Assist in project bidding and contract negotiation

    • Assist in process improvement initiatives for the Purchasing department

    • Support all Corporate Sourcing initiatives

    The Candidate:

    • Forward thinking and analytical, you have the ability to research and evaluate critical components of the procurement process.

    • Ideally you have a relevant business degree augmented by completion or near completion of the SCMP certification.

    • Several years of pulp and paper or manufacturing experience would be considered an asset.

    • Previous experience using CMMS databases and business intelligence tools as well as an understanding of Asset Management best practices will help you in your success.

    • Your strong communication and team skills will also assist you in this challenging position.

    • A valid BC Driver''s license and transportation are essential for this tri-mill position.
