The CSA Electrical Workplace Standards Webinar will help participants learn about CSA Z463, a new (in progress) guideline for electrical maintenance, understand the dynamics of how to match your facility resources with state of the art maintenance practices and processes for maximum equipment efficiencies, as well as understand some of the often overlooked pitfalls and consequences of under performed maintenance.

The presentation will also help review 2 existing & supportive standards. (CSA Z462 and CSA Z460)

• This course is designed for Maintenance Managers and Supervisors, Asset Managers, Risk Analysis Engineers, Schedulers, Maintenance Electricians and Technicians, Service Company Providers as well as HSE Personnel.

 
Dave Smith is President of Canada Training Group and is currently a member of the technical committee developing CSA Z463 Guideline on Maintenance of Electrical Systems. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, CSA, NFPA, NETA – the InterNational Electrical Testing Association, the International Society for Performance and Improvement, the Society for Judgement and Decision Making, the Canadian Society for Training and Development, Mensa and the Royal Canadian Legion.
 

John T. Hodson, from Western CSA Z463 Group, is a Certified Electronic Engineering Technologist, an Electrical Power System Technologist and the owner of several start up companies. With over 30 years of electrical power system experience, he is a CSA Z462 founding member (past) and a CSA Z463 founding member (existing). His field of expertise includes investment strategies, power system consulting, HR documents, manpower resources as well as company start up consulting, acquisitions and mentoring.

 
 
Terry Becker, P.Eng., owner of ESPS Electrical Safety Program Solutions INC., is an Electrical Engineer with over 20 years experience in both operating companies and engineering consulting. Terry is the first past Vice-Chair of the CSA Z462 Workplace electrical safety Standard Technical Committee, and currently an Executive Committee member, voting member and leader of Working Group 8 Annexes. Terry has also presented on CSA Z462 and electrical safety in Melbourne, Australia in April 2010 at an industry Arc Flash Forum organized by IDC.
 
Terry Branch is Principal of PDR Technologies Inc., and a proven senior Electrical Engineer with extensive leadership and technical experience in managing people, and electrical system initiatives; design, construction, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, planning and strategizing. He is a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario, Senior Member of the IEEE and member of PAPTAC. Terry currently serves as an active committee member on the CSA Canadian Electrical Code Part 1 and is involved in developing the new CSA Z463 maintenance guideline.
           
   

Len Cicero, founder and President of Lenco Training and Technical Services, is a recognized authority in the field of Lockout and Workplace Electrical Safety. A Certified Master Electrician and Industrial Electrician, he has extensive experience delivering value added workplace solutions in both the public and private sectors across Canada. Currently, Len is the Technical Committee Chairperson for CSA Z460 Machinery Lockout Standard, and Communications Chairperson of the Technical Committee of CSA Z462 Workplace Electrical Safety Standard and is an executive member of that technical committee.

   

Richard Larivée, ing. P.Eng is a senior project manager and an electrical engineer. Richard has worked with more than 25 airports and has been involved in over 200 projects throughout Canada from systems master plan, electrical distribution systems, lighting, airfield lighting, life cycle management, explosive detection system and baggage handling system. He joined the Canadian Standard Association (CSA) Z-463 to develop a new document for Maintenance of Electrical System and he is part of communication committee, draft committee and chair of working group 9 - special equipment.
