Montreal, January 20th, 2014

PAPTAC is proud to announce that Dr. Honghi Tran, Frank Dottori Professor of Pulp & Paper Engineering, Professor at the Department of Chemical of Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry and Director of the Pulp and Paper Centre at the University of Toronto, and Chief Editor of the Journal of Science and Technology for Forest Products & Processes (J-FOR), will receive the John S. Bates Memorial Gold Medal, one of PAPTAC's highest individual honours, awarded to a member of the Association in recognition of their long-term contribution to the science and technology of the pulp and paper industry.

The award presentation to Dr. Tran will take place on Thursday, February 6th during PaperWeek Canada's Awards Business Luncheon, from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm ET at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal. Further details will be announced at www.paperweekcanada.ca

PAPTAC a le plaisir d’annoncer que le Dr Honghi Tran, Professeur Frank Dottori d’ingénierie des pâtes et papiers, Professeur au département de génie chimique et de chimie appliquée et directeur du centre de pâtes et papiers à l’Université de Toronto, et éditeur en chef du Journal of Science and Technology for Forest Products & Processes (J-FOR), recevra la médaille d’or commémorative John S. Bates, un des plus prestigieux honneurs individuels de PAPTAC, décerné à un membre de l’Association en reconnaissance de sa contribution à long-terme à la science et à la technologie de l’industrie des pâtes et papiers.
