3rd FIBRE Network Conference Starts next Monday!


 

The upcoming third edition of the FIBRE (Forest Innovation by Research and Education) Network conference, May 11-13, 2015, will be held at École Polytechnique de Montréal, Quebec. PAPTAC, in collaboration with Paper Advance and Le Maître papetier, is proud to bring you the official coverage of the third FIBRE Network Conference.

We are so proud to be here, with École Polytechnique’s support, and share our rich research program with you. There’s something for everybody: learning, networking and even, for students, preparing business and commercialization plans. I hear that our dragons are as merciless as those on the infamous Dragons’ Den TV show! While the students prepare their pitches, researchers will be wracking their brains to determine the path forward for new projects, and identify the best that academia has to offer to industry.

Standard Methods Community Meeting   Student Activities at PACWEST

The PAPTAC Standard Methods committee will have a meeting on Thursday May 14, 2015 at FPInnovations - Pointe-Claire, QC. The meeting is intended to discuss the status of the Committee as well as the path forward regarding existing standards and the standards currently under revision.

Six researchers from the University of British Columbia have been invited to participate in a Student Presentation Session at the 2015 PACWEST Technical Conference. The conference will be held at the Fairmont Chateau in Whistler, BC from June 10-13, with the student session currently slated for Friday June 12th at 8:30 am.
