Inaugural Meeting of the PAPTAC Mill Managers Community
 
J-FOR Officially Launched!

This recent PAPTAC initiative to form a Canadian Mill Managers Community was off to a great start with the inaugural meeting taking place during PaperWeek Canada 2012 in February. Led by Daniel Archambault, Executive VP at Kruger Inc., as Chairman for the first year this community will use PAPTAC as the vehicle to exchange on issues related to Management, HR, and Operations through F2F meetings, Webinars and E-mail discussion groups. The next meeting is scheduled for the PACWEST conference at the end of May.
PAPTAC's new flagship publication was officially launched during PaperWeek Canada in February with several guests from industry and academia. Dr. Honghi Tran, Editor-in-Chief, and Dr. Paul Stuart, Deputy Editor, took the opportunity to present the objectives and mission of the Journal with the 2nd issue being released for the occasion. J-FOR - The Journal of Science & Technology for Forest Products and Processes will be published on a bi-monthly basis featuring high-quality peer-reviewed articles in both emerging and traditional technology areas that pertinent to the forest industry.
